The Castro now has a Little Free Library. Hoodline covered the new addition to Jane Warner Plaza with a shout-out to the Castro Writers’ Cooperative and its contribution of books. Thanks to the Castro Business District and the “Coop,” visitors to the Castro can now find a book lending library open during the day. Books will come out with the tables and chairs. The LFL has a relaxed lending policy of “take one and leave one.” I’m gathering up some more “old favorites” and “never-quite-got-around-tos” to add some more stock to this new community attraction. In a city where costs are sky-high, there are still pockets of treasures to be found for free.
